We LOV Letters!

Hi everyone.......my grandchildren (12 & 7) did the most incredible thing this past two weeks and I have to tell you about it.  Feel free to pass it on to everyone you know.
I'm not kidding.....it was incredible.  They went to "camp" every day for 2 weeks 1-5pm.  That was reason enough to like it.....but, they loved it.

My friend, Laralee Wahrmund, has opened a theatre, dance and music academy on New Braunsfels (by Kuper & the quilt shop).....I didn't really understand what it was, but knew Laralee was like the pied piper and I wanted to support her.

OMG!  Last night was the graduation play, Sleeping Beauty.  I'm telling you, it was the funniest, cutest, happiest anything I've seen in a long long time.  Somehow she took 8+ children from 7 - 13 or so and turned them in to THE best actors.....boys and girls.  You could tell there were a few folks in the audience there under penalty of death & they were soon turned into the biggest fans of all.

Laughed and clapped the whole time.

I'm not an artsy anything, but I know enough to know these children loved every second.  They did everything from start to finish in two weeks.

My point is........this is a new endeavor.  We have to keep it going.  It's just simply wonderful.  WOW covers it.

So, get your children & grandchildren in there.  It's a small group which is why it works so well.  Run, don't walk to sign them up.

<>This commercial is absolutely unsolicited and my way to support this by sending info to everyone I know..............take a few minutes. look it up or call Laralee.  You'll be glad you did.

Contact info:  Laralee Wahrmund (844-4298)  www.landofvirtuosity.org.
Land of Virtuosity     the next class/camp begins August 2-13....there are things planned during the school year too.

Call her.  Check it out.

Truly, I had no idea!  What a great evening----it was something to see.   It was charming.  It was funny.  It was good!

Jump in there.  Trust me.

I'd thank you for reading....but, truth is, you'll thank me for sending!

Dear Laralee,

What a terrific experience we have had at Land of Virtuosity! My daughter  loved everything about her involvement in the production of Alice in  Wonderland. It is so wonderful to see all of the talent, drawn out by the director and expressed through the performances. I am so grateful for the
Land of Virtuosity making these fine arts instructions available in our community. I hope it grows and grows! We will definitely be involved!

Dear Ms. Wahrmund,

As you can see in Ashton's photo, she is leaping for joy to be your muse!  (Actually, it is a recent photo of her at a dance competition!)

We truly are elated to know that the LOV is a reality and that Barbara is on staff-she has been Ashton's tap instructor for a while now...WE LOV Barbara Phillips!!!!

We wish you much success and can't wait until your doors open!

Sincerely,
Lori and Ashton S.

Dear Laralee,

Thanks for taking the time to speak with me about Land of Virtuosity (LOV). It sounds like a remarkable undertaking. I know what a pleasure it has been to share live performances with our own children. To see their faces delight in the sights and sounds is pure joy.

It is always wonderful to walk away with a young one humming a tune from a show or watching a show so pique their interest that they want to know more about the time, place, or incident depicted. Our children's ages are spread out over 16 years - the youngest is now 12 - and, too often, we have been unable to all share in the same production.

Theater has the ability to enrich the soul, expand the mind, and, quite simply, to delight. LOV has the potential to bridge generations and enable diverse ages to bond over a shared moment. I applaud the mission of LOV and its supporters.

Best Wishes,
Kathryn

I love the LOV, because it allows me to do what I want to do; whether it be hosting a talk show or learning how to play the Calliope.

I can learn what I need to learn to succeed. So, thanks Career Point, Oh, I mean LOV.

Sincerely
Chandler O. Wahrmund

Being on the Board of LOV is an absolute pleasure! It is so satisfying working with motivated, talented individuals who seek to contribute to our community.  Today, so many public education art programs are being eliminated.  It is critical for organizations like LOV to provide students with a broad curriculum that exposes them to multiple  disciplines.  I am enthusiastic about the progress made to date and  look forward to many accomplishments in the near future.

In our present economy, It is crucial that we nuture creativity in childen.  Fostering creativity is fostering the entreprenural spirit.  We simply cannot afford to stiffle the creative proccess of this generation - for hope - springs fresh and generously from their imagination.
